The Main Exports Destinations of Colombian Coffee 2025

The export volume of Colombian coffee reached 13.14 million bags of 60 kgthe country has registered a 6.6% increase compared to 12.32 million sacks mobilized in 2024. This volume is the highest since 2019, when it reached the figure of 13.67 million.

However, in terms of recovery the jump is even more forceful: the value of exports was shot to USD 6.480 million, growth of 66.7% compared to 2024, marking the highest historical income for the country by this concept..

The behaviour of the destinations of our coffee shows a strengthening in the American and European countries, with marked operational variations on other fronts:

  • The leaders in volume: United States is maintained as the leader in destinations of national coffee, absorbing 5,277,074 sacks (40.16% of total participation) and recording an annual growth of 8%. They follow him. Canada with 994.404 bags (+ 6%) and Germany with 948,648 bags (+ 8%).
  • The most growing markets: The dynamism of the year starred him Netherlands, with a great leap from 37% (reaching 321,722 sacks), and Australiawhich grew a solid 23% (reaching 244,300 sacks). On the Asian continent, Japan with a rise of 12% (682,000 sacks).
  • Market contractions: When reviewing the negative figures, it highlights the strong fall of China, which reduced its imports of Colombian coffee into a 24%, from 480.261 to 364,596 sacks. In observing the distribution of the market share of the destinations of the Colombian processed coffee (Tostados, soluble and extracts) we have the following:

  • North America leads the demand: United States is also the main recipient of the Colombian processed coffee, concentrating the 41,2% of this segment. Canada provides an additional 3.3% to the region.
  • Strong penetration in Latin America: Unlike general exports, in processed coffee our neighbours in the region have a key weight. Mexico captures a 14,6%, followed by Chile (5.6%), Ecuador (5.0%) and Peru (2.9%). This reflects an excellent positioning of our finished coffee-based products in Latin America.
  • Europe and Asia: In Europe, Germany (5.6%) and Netherlands (3.2%) are the most representative European receivers for the processing, followed by Spain (0.8%). On the Asian side, Japan (4.1%), South Korea (2.6%) and China (1.8%) maintain a relevant share in the acquisition of our most elaborate cafes.
